Instead of waiting weeks or months for a mobility device through standard channels, we provided a loaner wheelchair immediately. This ensures the individual can navigate their home safely and attend medical appointments while their permanent file is processed.

Fast-Tracking the Assessment
Because the lack of therapists in the Ottawa community often causes delays, we bypass the queue by connecting the client with a private Occupational Therapist (OT).

• Speed: Private assessments typically happen within days rather than months.
• Expertise: These OTs specialize in home safety and mobility equipment.

Funding & Equipment Coordination
Once the private OT completes the assessment, we assist with the next steps:

• ADP Funding Assistance: Helping the client navigate the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) to cover the cost of permanent equipment.
• Personalized Fitting: Ensuring the equipment recommended by the OT is perfectly suited to the client’s home environment.
